Potty Time

A few weekends ago Spencer ASKED to use the potty! So, I sat him up on the big potty and he used it!!! He was proud of himself, but has yet to do it again. That day we went and got him a new potty. He acted like the potty was his best friend. That entire evening he drug it from room to room saying, "Come on potty." Sit down here." The funniest part was when he took it to the den placed it right in front of the TV and took a seat! And guess what was on TV....the Daytona race!!! Bless his heart he looked like a red neck. Thankfully he didn't have a drink in his hand!

Watching the race!

Here he is on his other potty (the one I had when I was little) and talking on the phone!

Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a nice relaxing family Valentines day. Spencer and I got up and went straight to Kroger to get a Valentines balloon and a donut. Spencer
has been aching for a heart balloon ever since they have been out in the stores. I told him everytime we went to the store that he would get one on Valentines. SO, if I mentioned Valentines in anyway he would say, "heart balloon?". It was pitiful to hear him as we would leave the store. He would lovingly look at the balloons and say, "bye bye heart balloon" in a little sad voice. I'm sure my mom would have spoiled him by buying him the balloon everytime she went to the store, but I wasn't about to start that craziness! I'll leave that to the grand parents!

He played all morning with that balloon. It was a nice treat for me too!
Jake, Spencer and I had a yummy dinner at home and exchaged cards and gifts. But, I got my favoirte gift that afternoon. I left Spencer in his room playing so I could start his lunch. I heard him huffing and puffing as he walked into the kitchen. I asked him what was wrong. He looked up at me with a scowl on his face and said, "Wanted your kisses!". It was the cutest thing ever. I guess he wanted me to have kissed him before I left his room! It was too cute and just made my day! I of course gave him more kisses than he probably wanted!

Oma and Opa visit!

Jake's parents came for a visit this past weekend. Everytime I told Spencer they were coming he would say, "Oma Opa build blocks". He couldn't wait to build with them.
Opa, Daddy and Spen would build the blocks high and Spen would quickly tear them down. After a while Spencer stopped building to eat, but that didn't stop Opa and Jake!

We also had fun at the Park. Spencer had a blast on the slides and kicking the leaves. He was exhausted by the time we got home. It sure was nice going to the park with 3 other adults!! I had a nice relaxing time!

If you have read some of my previous blogs you know that my boy LOVES a book. Well, so does Oma and she and Spencer had grand time reading over 12 books in a row. The child never gets tired of a book! We wish Oma and Opa could have stayed longer!!! Thanks for visiting!

Getting Dressed

Getting Dressed is such a process now! Spencer thinks it is fun to run from me when it's time to get ready for the day.
He also wants to do it all himself. He LOVES to try and put his shoes on and my shoes on me. He's such a helper and will tell you that ALL day long so that you don't forget what a great helper he is!! We are making some progress with the shoes. Thank goodness we have velcro rather than laces. If we had laces I don't think we would ever make it out of the house!!!!
