Goodbye VA friends

We are going to miss our VA friends so much!!! I feel blessed to have found two great Mom's with precious little boys to spend time with while in VA. I am going to miss the girl talk and miss watching Brandon and Grayson grow. I can only hope that I'll find a few good Mommy's in Colorado too. Come visit us Burkes and Copes!!!!

Notice Brandon dumping water on Spencer's head! Spencer could have cared less.

Good bye Rachel, Brandon, Grayson and Jennifer. We'll miss you!!!!!

Here we GO again!!!!!!!!

Here we go again. We are MOVING to DENVER!!!! Another year and another move. We love to time our moves around huge life events to make each move as emotional and physically draining as possible!!!! Ha ha ha.

We have already found a house in a nice area and look forward to getting settled. We are most excited about the fenced in yard. Being outside is Spencer's favorite! The other day I caught him just as he was opening the front door that he has now learned to unlock. And several minutes after that he took down the baby gate off the stairs!! So, I am going to LOVE having a big yard to keep him entertained.

We are moving for my hubby's job. He will be in charge of the renovations and additions to a children's hospital in downtown Denver. As I type the packing ladies are packing our things. They will load up the truck tomorrow and we head out of town on Saturday!!!! Jake will drive the entire way and Spencer I will stop off to spend a little time with family and we will fly out there on May 8th. Which, just happens to be our 4th wedding anniversary!!!! We have yet to spend two anniversaries living in the same home- town or state!!!! We've got the moving - traveling thing down pat. My only advice is avoid any moves when you are 30 weeks pregnant and have 1 & 1/2 year old running around!!! It's a WHOLE LOTTA work.

Baby Update

Here's the latest ultra sound picture of baby boy #2! The small cyst that they saw at 17 weeks was gone at 27 weeks! We were thrilled. The doc said that he is developing perfectly. I am now right at 30 weeks so we don't have much longer to wait to meet this little guy.

Frequent Flier

Spencer is our little frequent flier. In his 19 months of life he has been on 44 different air planes!!! I have to say despite just a few spit ups, blow out diapers and crying episodes he has been quiet the traveler. We have been blessed thus far!
He looks forward to getting his water from the flight attendants and gathering his garbage for them when they come by. He's very curious and likes to check out all the other passengers, especially if they are paying no attention to him. He's a little comedian and gives commentary on what all the passengers are doing.
We already have another flight scheduled next month!! We have traveled so much his favorite question to ask right now is, "Where are we now?". I swear I'm going to write a How To book on flying with an infant and/or toddler. It's hard work, especially the flights when Daddy doesn't get to come with us!!!!!!
Here is a rare shot of Spen at the airport trapped in his stroller.

The Gravel Pit

Spencer couldn't wait to go to Papa's office and see his bulldozers! He had a blast. He played in the rocks, watched the machines and ran around Papa's office. Papa sat him on the track of a bulldozer and off Spen went climbing to get in. We all jumped up and had to run up the bulldozer with him.
He now thinks my Dad drives a bulldozer and owns all the rocks in the world. He'll see rocks on the side of the road and tell me they are Papa's rocks.

Enjoying a beverage with Papa after working so hard.

On the way home from visiting Papa at his office we had a flat tire. Of course if was nap time. Thankfully, we were able to pull off on to a gravel drive way so Spencer was just fine. He had a great time in the rocks and watching the tire get changed. Yes, Bevie and I changed it ourselves!!!!!!! Just kidding!!!!!!!!!!

EASTER

We spent this Easter in MS with my parents. Aunt Betsy and Uncle Bill got to come too!
Saturday before Easter we went to the church Easter egg hunt. Spencer was in Heaven!
He ran around like crazy. I was so proud of him when he shared most of his eggs with a 4 year old girl who didn't find any...he has a heart of gold!

Hunting with cousin Mary Campbell.

Checking out the candy inside!

He mostly loved playing in the rocks and on the bulldozer. He didn't want to leave!
Papa and Daddy got a work out!

Spencer and his ice cream after the Easter egg hunt...yummmmmm!

Easter Sunday went well. Spencer stayed in church until children's time. He got so excited when Bevie and Papa came down the isle with the choir. He yelled, "Bevie Papa SING!" And when the preacher said "let's pray" my child yelled, "Dear God"! We enjoyed a yummy Easter lunch at my Aunt and Uncles. Spencer got to play with his cousins and hunt more eggs. Unfortunately, these are the only two pictures we got on my digital camera before my battery died!!! I was so sad...we didn't even get a family photo...am I a bad Mama or what!!!!
