The week before Christmas

The week before Christmas
and what did we do

We shoveled more snow

and met Santa too

We bundled all up to see lots of lights

and continued to show mama we are not scared of heights

We smiled really pretty
for a couple of pictures

But that quickly changed to crying and silly giggles

We were happy playing at the fountain
both tossing pennies

Spen making wishes
Campbell screaming "FISHeS"

It's Begining to Look a lot like Christmas

It has actually looked like Christmas for a while around here. The boys love all the decorations a little more than I wish they did!!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas tree
How lovely are your branches.

Both boys like to rearrange the ornaments. Campbell also likes to add special touches to the tree like toys and sippie cups. But his most favorite task is digging for all the Christmas balls and pulling them off, you know because IT'S A BALL!

We Wish YOU a Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2009
Denver, CO

We had a great Thanksgiving with the Seybs. Everyone came to celebrate the holiday here in Denver. It sure is nice to have family around. More hands more ears more help! I'm very jealous of you Mommy's who have grandparents so close!

We were so glad Aunt Katie got to come! Katie and I ventured out on Black Friday and had a fun time. We didn't leave at 3am or anything. But, there were still good sales at 8!! We had fun chatting and catching up as we waited in line. I'm pretty sure the other ladies waiting in line enjoyed our chatter too! They got an ear full. The boys loved having Katie (or Kaykey as Campbell calls her) here as you can see from the pictures.

Campbell climbed up in Katie's lap and fell asleep!!! So not like that boy!

Here Spen is chatting it up and using his hands while he's telling his story.

Spencer picked out the Children's dictionary for Oma to read!! Oma didn't mind and they read and read!!

These boys do love their Opa. I don't know what it is about a man, but my kids love to act as if men are their personal climbing walls. Opa never once complained about being constantly trampled on by little ones. He got lots of love amidst the climbing so I think that helps! Spencer had a plan for all the things Opa was going to play. Spen loves to keep Opa very busy.
Oh and when we were deciding who would sleep in Spencer's room with him we mentioned Opa and Spen says, "I think NOT! Opa is very loud!"

We managed to get a family shot after only 4 tries! And look at Spencer's face!! He was ready for that flashing light.

Spencer and Campbell making milk soup. What is milk soup? I haven't got a clue. But playing in the sink making milk soup entertained them for quite a while.

We also celebrated Katie's bithday. Spencer was so happy to sing to her. On her b-day Jake, Katie and I got to go out to eat and see a movie!! Thanks to Oma and Opa for keeping the boys. I hadn't seen a movie in the theater since Spen was 11 months old!

We had a very happy easy going Thanksgiving. This year I am most thankful for health. Especially my children's! Thank you Lord for my happy healthy children.

Wordy Wednesday

Spencer: "When we die and go to heaven will we still be able to wiggle our booties?"

Campbell: "I stuuuuuuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Yes Campbell, that's the point of a high chair.

This child is a very messy eater. Can't you tell?

Wordy Wednesday

Spencer: "Wow! Campbell's eating a STORM up."

I served creamed corn the other night. Neither child enjoyed it.
Spencer: "I like corn on the cob but I don't like this corn soup."

We knew it!

We knew that one day the wine/beer cubbie would be used as a jail. And boy does their "jail" game entertain them for a nice long while.

"Campbell you stay in jail for 5 minutes for not wearing your seat belt!"

If only the door didn't have that huge gap at the bottom!

Wordy Wednesday

Yesterday as I picked Spen up from Preschool his teacher met me at the door telling me that Spencer cracks her up. Today he told them....

SPENCER: "We say Y'ALL at our house!"

Supposedly one of the teachers used YOU GUYS and he set them straight.

Thata boy!!! Be proud of your southern roots and your very southern accent!!! I hope no matter where we live you always say Y'all and have your sweet southern sound.
