Wordy Wednesday

I am trying my best to get rid of things I don't use or wear anymore.  So as I organize my closet I'm trying on clothes deciding if it's a keeper or not.  The boys have been so funny and sweet with their comments on my clothes.  They probably think I'm playing dress up!  I was trying on one of my dresses.....

Campbell:  "Oh mama! You are so pretty!  Dance for me Mama!  Dance for me."

Spencer:  "I. Can't. Say. A. Thing!"
Me:  "whaaat?"
Spencer: (running over to hug me)  "You are just so beautiful I don't have any words."

 Love these two!

I'm one lucky lady!!  They are so sweet to always tell me that I'm pretty.  I love their eyes, because even when I'm NOT they see beauty.   I hope they keep it up and pray they will shower their future wives with sweet words too.

Our Girl - Eigth Months

Izzy you are so much fun!

At 8 months (7-17-12) you are a crawling pro.  You started officially crawling right after you turned seven months.  You pull up on anything you can and cruise!  You can even stand for a little bit on your own.  You have strong legs for standing for sure!!
You are saying "mama", "daddy", "ahhdu"~all done, "mua"~more, "hi", "hewo"~hello "guyguy"~byebye.  You are pretty consistent with these words.  You are so good at trying to imitate us. You have said a few other things once or twice (uhoh, out, no, go,down).  You make your speech pathologist mommy proud!!  Your brother, Spencer, had 9 words at 9 months and he is anxiously waiting to see if you "beat" him!

Other tid bits...
-you are wearing 9 and 12 months clothes
-we are still able to stuff you in a size 3 diaper
-not sleeping through the night anymore, bummer
-you clap when we ask you to. it's slow and so cute
-you love baby food and eat 3x a day but that hasn't slowed down your nursing
-you have two bottom teeth and seem to be getting the top
-when we sing to you, you sing along

You ADORE your brothers and they LOVE you like crazy.  My favorite thing in this world is watching the love between you three. You cuddle and hug on Spencer and laugh and play with Campbell.
"I'm so glad we got THIS baby girl."  "We got the best baby in the world" -Spencer
"Who's the cutest baby girl in the world? You. You. You." -Campbell

You love your Daddy!  "Dada" was your first word.  You love to "pat" a.k.a slap his head and give him kisses.  He thinks you are the prettiest smartest little girl ever.

As much as you love everyone you are a mama's girl and I love it.  You follow me around and love to be on my hip "helping" me.  I love you and know we are going to have such a fun time together.

You wave and smile at EVERYONE!  It's precious  It's so fun to take you out and about.  You get all kind of comments. "Now how could you not smile at that baby!" was one recently.  I feel like that everyday.  Just today I heard, "OH MY now this is a 'trouble' baby.  She is trouble for all of us mama's who are done having babies and they we see her and want more! "
I pray you are always as happy and joyful.

You are our sunshine.
You are our promise from God.
You are uniquely and wonderfully made.
We love you!

Jayhawks

The Kansas Jayhawks made it to the final game of the 2012 NCAA Basketball championship.
Here are three of their cutest fans!!
Kansas lost to Kentucky but these three did their best to cheer them to a win.

The boys had fun watching the games this year. They each filled out a bracket for the first time. Spencer had UNC as the final winner and Campbell chose the Lobos of New Mexico. Campbell made all of his choices based on the mascot! He really loved the Lobos!

4 months

Our Elizabeth Carlisle is FOUR months!
I think these have been the fastest four months of my life.
Knowing you are our last baby makes me realize just how fast the baby stage flies by.
WE LOVE YOU MISS IZZY!!!
You are truly a dream of a baby.
What you are up to...
-Talking!! You are one LOUD talker. You make it hard for anyone else to be heard when you are talking. I had to leave church one day with you because you were acting like you were the preacher. Believe me you needed no microphone! You say lots of "Aahhhahhah" and do make some random consonant sounds here and there. You have what I call your "fake" laugh and you like to do it when you see your brothers. You think they are soooo funny. Your real laugh is adorable.
-Sleep..you are a really good sleeper for us. You aren't very consistent with naps yet, but at night you wake up one to two times and sometimes you sleep THROUGH the night. Your Daddy and I don't know where you came from because your brothers sure didn't do that!!
-Size ...You are a chunk and we love every roll!! You weigh 15 pounds. You wear a size 2 diaper and size 6 and even some 9 month clothes. Six month fits you great, except for things that have to snap around your large thighs!!
-You love to stand these days and you are starting to sit up for a few seconds at a time.
You are precious and know how to make everyone feel special. You smile and bat your eyes at everyone. I can't tell you how many old ladies you have made happy when we are out and about.
You bring joy to us all sweet baby. We love you forever and ever Amen!

Goodbye to Friends

Saying Goodbye...
Late in November we said Goodbye to our friends The Copes (Jeff, Rachel, Brandon and Mollie). They are moved to CA right before we move to AL. We will miss them lots. We all became friends in Chester, VA when Brandon and Spencer were just 8 months old!! It has been so fun that we were able to connect again here in CO. We love you like family and wish you all the best in CA. We'll miss you Copes!
When I join the Mom's group here I had no idea I would luck out with such a great group of mom's and kids. They are such an easy going fun group. Our kids love each other too. We will miss our weekly fun play time and chat time!!
One of the greatest treasures we found in CO is The Smith family. They lived next door and we all become fast friends. I don't know what we would have done without them some days. LOVE these guys so much. Bonnie and Mason even came by to see us the day we were starting our drive across the country to Alabama. I hope we are back in CO to see you sooner than later.

Changes

December 2010 equals one wild month for our family. With a huge possibility of getting layed off from his job, Jake took a job with another company. He had been with Bovis for 10 years and saying goodbye wasn't easy. The new job is with a company in Birmingham, Alabama. Much closer to both or our families. The new adventure is exciting. Saying goodbye to our home, to CO and our friends here is hard!
December was a month filled with lots of organizing to get prepared for our move, saying our goodbyes, having Christmas, driving across the country, more Christmas and moving to AL. Shewww. Tiring for sure!!!
Fun at Bass Pro
Denver
Watching the big fish
The line was so long to see Santa that by the time it was our turn Campbell was over it, as you can see. He screamed and when I went to get him he realized he had forgotten to tell Santa what he wanted. So as I carried him away he was stretching his arms to Santa yelling "Lighting McQueen, Lighting McQueen, I want a Lightening McQueen."
It was like a movie sceen!
Racing cars at Bass Pro. They had lots of kid things to do.
Here the boys are getting things done on our December to do list...
Campbell making/painting ornaments for our friends
Spencer helping Daddy get the house ready before we move.

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving morning Jake AND Spencer ran in a Turkey Trot race.

He was a little unsure at the start of his race.

But, once Daddy said he would start with him he was fine. And he ran and ran and was very proud of himself! We were proud of him too!

Aunt Katie and Campbell watching for Spencer to finish!

Our annual Seyb Thanksgiving photo! Campbell looks over it! :)
We were very thankful to have family here to help during my recovery and to help celebrate the holiday.

I has been a hard half of a year, but I am so thankful to have this good looking crew to hug on and to hug on me.
This is likely our last Thanksgiving in Denver and boy will we miss it here!!

Grace

Grace

Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you..
Jeremiah 1:5

Grace
our 4th little baby
suppose to be filling my arms on July 4th 2010
instead skipping this life and going straight to Paradise

I ache
I wonder
I cry

I want my baby Grace

I long more for Heaven
and dream of that reunion with the two babies I did not get to hold

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Psalm 27: 13-14

SNOW

November finally brought SNOW!
To say these two were excited would be an understatement.
No big snow would be complete without a quick run to Target to buy snow boots. Thankfully they had a pair left for Spen and Campbell graduated to Spencer's old blue boots. Campbell kept asking, "but what about my pink ones!" I was sad to see him out grow them too. Those pink boots on my wild boy (who was so proud of them) made me giggle.
Spen making sure the sidewalks were clear of ice.

My Snowmen and I had fun!
